Automate data classification by integrating MineOS with Typeform

How It Works

MineOS connects to your Typeform account with a personal access token and scans the responses to your forms to detect the personal data they contain.

Note: This article covers data classification. Setting up Typeform for privacy requests is covered in the Typeform DSR integration article.

Before You Start

• You need to be an account owner in Typeform.
• [Optional] Enable Preview mode to view sample PII values alongside classification results. You must enable Preview mode before running the scan.

Setting Up

Step 1: Create a personal access token in Typeform

1. Log in to Typeform. In the top left corner, click your user name and choose Account.
2. Open the Account drop-down, choose Personal tokens and click Generate a new token.
3. Fill in:
   • Token name: MineOS
   • Custom scopes: Accounts: Read; Forms: Read; Responses: Read. If you'll also use Typeform for privacy requests, add Write for Forms and Responses.
4. Click Generate token and copy it.
5. Go to your Typeform workspace and copy your account ID from the browser URL. For example, in https://admin.typeform.com/accounts/your-account-id/workspaces/, the account ID is your-account-id.

Step 2: Connect in MineOS

1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Typeform and click Add.
2. Open the Typeform data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
3. Paste the token into the Personal access token field and the account ID into the Account Id field.
4. Mark the Scan this source using Data Classifier checkbox.
5. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Typeform account.
