Marketo DSR integration
Automate privacy request handling by integrating MineOS with Marketo.

This integration automates privacy requests for Marketo. MineOS looks up the Marketo lead that matches the requester's email address, then lets you preview, delete or copy it, or mark it as do not sell.
To scan Marketo for personal data, see Marketo data classification integration.
How It Works
- Preview: before MineOS acts, you can preview the lead it found for the requester.
- Delete: with the Marketo type, MineOS deletes the matching lead from Marketo.
- Get a copy: with the Marketo and Marketo (Do Not Sell) types, MineOS sends the requester a copy of the lead and its activities.
- Unsubscribe: with the do not sell types, MineOS keeps the requester out of marketing by marking them unsubscribed and blocklisted instead of only deleting them.
Choose the right integration type
| Integration type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Marketo | Previews, deletes and copies the requester's lead and activities. |
| Marketo (Do Not Sell) | Deletes the lead, then creates a new lead that has only the email address and is marked unsubscribed and blocklisted, so the requester stays suppressed. Also copies. |
| Marketo (Do Not Sell) - V2 | Adds the lead to a static list that you name and marks it unsubscribed and blocklisted. Does not copy. |
Before You Start
- You need a Marketo user with administrative privileges.
- For Marketo (Do Not Sell) - V2, create the static list in Marketo first (Database → New → New List) and note its exact name.
Setting Up
In step 3 of Step 2 below, choose the type you need from the Integration Type dropdown. For Marketo (Do Not Sell) - V2, also enter the static list name in the Enter Marketo Static List Name field of the setup wizard.
Step 1: Create API credentials in Marketo
- Log in to Marketo as an admin.
- Create a role for the API user: go to Admin → Users & Roles → Roles, click New Role, and choose Access API under Permissions.
- Create an API-only user: go to Admin → Users & Roles → Users and click Invite New User. Give the user a descriptive name and an email address (it doesn't need to be valid), click Next, choose the API role, mark the API Only checkbox and click Send.
- Create a custom service: go to Admin → LaunchPoint and select New Service. Give it a descriptive name, select Custom from the Service list, select the API-only user you created and click Create.
- Click View Details on the new service and copy the Client Id and Client Secret.
- Go to Admin → Integration → Web Services. In the REST API section, copy the Endpoint value up to
/rest, for examplehttps://your-instance.mktorest.com.
Step 2: Connect in MineOS
- Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Add data source, search for Marketo and add it.
- Open the Marketo system and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the system already has an instance, click Add instance.
- Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration. In the Integration Type dropdown, select the Marketo integration type you need, then click Set up integration.
- In the setup wizard, paste the Client Id, Client Secret and Endpoint address.
Click Finish. You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Marketo instance.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the Marketo integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion, get a copy or do not sell.
