Get started with Mira AI agents
Learn what each Mira AI agent does in MineOS, how to set agents up, and how your business profile helps Mira produce accurate results.
Mira AI is a set of specialized agents built into MineOS that take on repetitive privacy, risk and compliance work, such as drafting assessments, researching vendors, identifying data transfers and redacting access request responses. Each agent works from the live context in your MineOS account, and your team stays in control of what becomes part of your records.
What is a Mira AI agent?
An agent is an AI assistant that carries out one specific task inside a MineOS workflow. Agents prepare the work, and your team reviews it before it's final.
Keeping a person in the review loop helps you maintain accurate, defensible records. That matters under GDPR Article 5(2), which requires organizations to be able to demonstrate their compliance.
Where to find your agents
Select Mira AI agents in the left navigation to see every agent available in your account. Agents are grouped by the type of work they do, and each card shows the agent's status and a Setup link.

Give Mira context with your business profile
Mira's suggestions are only as accurate as the context it has. Besides your data inventory and existing assessment answers, Mira uses your business profile: details about your company and the internal documents you share. Mira draws on this context when it creates and writes assessments, builds your RoPA, and fills in data source fields.
To open your business profile, go to Mira AI agents and click Edit your business profile in the top-right corner. The profile has two tabs: General and Policies & documents.
Add general details about your company
The General tab is where you describe your business in your own words.
- In Business details, describe your company. Useful details include:
- Who your customers and users are
- The products or services you offer
- Where your company is based and operates
- Anything else you want Mira to keep in mind, such as industry regulations or internal priorities
- Click Save.

The field accepts up to 50,000 characters, so you can paste in an existing company overview, such as the one you use for vendor security reviews.
Upload policies and documents
The Policies & documents tab lets Mira reference your internal policies, so its suggestions reflect how your organization actually works.
- Select the Policies & documents tab.
- Click Upload a file and choose the document.
- The file appears in the list once it's uploaded. [confirm: does the check mark mean the file is processed and ready for Mira to use?]

Good documents to upload include security and privacy guidelines, an AI acceptable use policy, an information security policy, a DPA, your privacy policy and codes of conduct. You can upload PDF, Word, PowerPoint, HTML, JSON, JSONL, Markdown and text files, up to 50MB each.
To manage an uploaded file, click the ⋯ menu next to it. [confirm menu options, e.g. delete or replace]
Keep your business profile up to date as your company changes. Accurate details and current policies help every Mira agent produce more specific, reliable output.
