Microsoft SharePoint DSR integration
Automate privacy request handling by integrating MineOS with Microsoft SharePoint.

This integration automates get-a-copy requests for Microsoft SharePoint. MineOS searches the sites in your Microsoft 365 tenant for files that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview them and add them to the request.
To scan SharePoint for personal data, see Microsoft SharePoint data classification integration.
How It Works
- Preview: before MineOS copies anything, you can preview the files it found for the requester.
- Get a copy: MineOS collects the matching files from the drives of your SharePoint sites and adds them to the request, where you can review and redact them before they go into the copy report.
SharePoint (Tenant) covers your shared sites only. Each employee's OneDrive is a private SharePoint site, so to search personal files as well, connect the OneDrive (Tenant) integration too.
Before You Start
- You need a SharePoint account with administrator permissions. Connect as an admin so you can grant full consent yourself, rather than requesting consent from another user.
- Have your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID ready.
Setting Up
- Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Add data source, search for SharePoint and add it.
- Open the system and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the system already has an instance, click Add instance.
- Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration. In the Integration Type dropdown, select Microsoft SharePoint (Tenant), then click Set up integration.
- In the setup wizard, enter your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID and click Connect.
- Sign in to Microsoft with an administrator account and click Accept to grant MineOS consent on behalf of your organization.
- When you're redirected back to MineOS, a message confirms whether the connection succeeded.
Click Finish. You're done! MineOS has been connected to your SharePoint.
Admin consentSharePoint (Tenant) uses app-level access to your whole tenant, which only an administrator who can grant tenant-wide consent can approve. If you use the legacy Microsoft SharePoint type instead, select Consent on behalf of your organization when you authorize; without it, MineOS has limited permissions and won't be able to find all files.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the SharePoint integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as get a copy.
