This integration automates privacy requests for Stripe. MineOS connects with a restricted API key, finds the Stripe customer that matches the requester, and lets you preview, delete or copy their data.

To scan Stripe for personal data, see Stripe data classification integration.

How It Works

  • Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the Stripe customers it found for the requester.
  • Delete: MineOS deletes the matching Stripe customers. If no customer matches, the task is reported as not found.
  • Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of the matching Stripe customer records.

Choose the right integration type

In the Integration Type dropdown, pick the type that matches the identifier your requests carry.

Integration typeWhat it does
StripeFinds Stripe customers by the requester's email address.
Stripe (Phone)Finds Stripe customers by the requester's phone number.

Both types use the same restricted API key.

Before You Start

  • You need a Stripe account with administrator permissions.
  • To delete customers, the restricted key needs Write access to Customers. Charges, Disputes and Files only need Read.

Setting Up

Step 1: Create a restricted key in Stripe

  1. Log in to Stripe. On your dashboard, click Developers, then API keys in the sidebar.
  2. Click Create restricted key and name it, for example MineOS Key.
  3. Set Customers, Charges, Disputes and Files to Read. If you'll also use Stripe for deletion requests, set Customers to Write.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Create key.
  5. Under Restricted keys, reveal the new key and copy it.

Step 2: Connect in MineOS

  1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory, then click Add data source. Search for Stripe and add it.
  2. Open the Stripe system and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the system already has an integration, click Add instance.
  3. Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration, then choose your integration type in the Integration Type dropdown.
  4. In the Set up integration wizard, paste the API key.
  5. Click Finish.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Stripe account.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Stripe integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
