Reporting Dashboards: View, Export, and Schedule
Open, filter, and drill into MineOS dashboards, then download or schedule their data
MineOS includes built-in reporting dashboards for each module. They turn your day-to-day privacy work into numbers you can act on and share with stakeholders. This article covers what every dashboard has in common: how to open one, filter it, drill into it, download its data, schedule recurring deliveries, and set alerts. To learn what a specific dashboard measures, see Dashboards by module.
Opening a dashboard
- Click Reporting in the left navigation.
- Select the card of the dashboard you want to open.
- To return to the full list, click Reporting in the breadcrumb at the top of the dashboard.
Who can see which dashboards
The cards you see on the Reporting page depend on your role:
| Dashboard | Owner | Admin | Data inventory manager | DSR lead | CMP admin |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Compliance, AI governance, Risk, Vendors | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | – | – |
| DSR overview, DSR audit log, DSR California DROP | ✓ | ✓ | – | ✓ | – |
| Consent management | ✓ | ✓ | – | – | ✓ |
DSR agents and Feedback reviewers don't have access to the Reporting page. If the Governance section isn't enabled for your account, the Compliance, AI governance, Risk, and Vendors cards aren't shown. To see what each role can access across MineOS, see Manage User Roles and Permissions.
Filtering a dashboard
Most dashboards have a filter bar at the top. A filter narrows the data shown in the dashboard's tiles. A typical filter is a date range such as Created At, which usually defaults to a recent period like the last three months. Other filters depend on the dashboard, for example privacy right, country, or brand.
To change a filter:
- Click the filter and choose the values you want.
- Click the refresh (update) button to reload the tiles.
Some dashboards, such as DSR overview, are split into tabs, and each tab answers a different question. The filter bar is shared by all tabs, so your selections stay in place when you switch tabs. If a filter works differently on a particular tab, that dashboard's article explains it.
Drilling into the numbers
Click a number, bar, or slice on most tiles to open a drill-down, which is a list of the individual records behind that value. For example, you can go from "12 overdue requests" straight to the list of those requests without leaving the dashboard.
Downloading data
You can download a single tile, or a whole dashboard.
- To download one tile, hover over it and open its three-dot menu. To download the whole dashboard, open the three-dot menu at the top right of the dashboard.
- Select Download.
- Choose a Format. For a single tile you can pick CSV, Excel Spreadsheet, TXT (tab-separated), JSON, HTML, Markdown, or PNG (an image of the chart). A whole dashboard downloads as a PDF or as a ZIP of CSV files.
- Expand Advanced data options and choose:
- Results: With visualizations options applied or As displayed in the data table
- Data values: Formatted, or Unformatted (no rounding or special characters)
- Number of rows to include: Current result table, All results, or Custom
- Click Download, or click Open in Browser to view the data without saving a file.
By default, only the current result table is included, and that may not be all of your data. To export every record that matches your filters, select All results under Number of rows to include.
Scheduling recurring delivery
If you send the same report every week, set up a schedule so it's delivered automatically. Open the three-dot menu at the top right of the dashboard and select Schedule delivery. The Schedule Delivery window has three tabs.
Settings
- Schedule Name: defaults to the dashboard's name.
- Recurrence and Time: how often the report is sent (for example, Daily) and at what time.
- Destination: Email.
- Email addresses: at least one recipient is required.
- Format: the file type of the delivered report, for example PDF.
- Download Tabs: for a dashboard with tabs, send the Whole dashboard or a single tab.
Filters
Every filter from the dashboard's filter bar is listed here, such as Created At, Privacy Right, and Country. Set the values the scheduled report should use. They can differ from what's on your screen. For example, a weekly report can always cover is in the last 7 days.
Advanced options
- Custom Message: text added to the body of the email, up to 1,500 characters.
- Include custom link: adds a link of your choice to the email.
- Expand tables to show all rows: includes every row of each table tile, not just the rows that fit on the tile.
- Page breaks between tabs: starts each tab on a new page.
- Arrange dashboard tiles in a single column: stacks the tiles vertically, which makes the report easier to read.
- Paper size: defaults to Fit Page To Dashboard.
- Delivery timezone: defaults to UTC. Set it to your own time zone so the report arrives at the time you expect.
A table tile shows only the rows that fit on it. To make sure the delivered report includes every record, for example the full request list on the DSR audit log, select Expand tables to show all rows.
Click Save to create the schedule. To review, edit, or delete it later, open the same menu and select Schedule delivery again.
Setting alerts on a tile
Add an alert to a tile to be notified when a number crosses a threshold. For example, you can get an email as soon as overdue requests go above zero.
- Hover over the tile and click the alert (bell) icon.
- Set the condition, for example Overdue Requests is greater than 0.
- Choose who should be notified, and how often the condition should be checked.
- Click Save.
