Managing Deletion Requests
Process a right-to-erasure request by running deletions across your systems, then notify and close.
A deletion request — the right to erasure — asks you to remove the data subject's personal data from your systems. MineOS processes it by running deletion actions across your connected integrations and tracking each one to completion.
How a deletion request is processed
The request's tasks are grouped by status:
- Needs action — tasks waiting on you to start.
- Needs manual confirmation — deletions in systems handled manually: delete the data in that system, then click Mark as completed (you can Undo if you need to).
- In progress — automated deletions currently running.
- Completed — finished deletions, each showing its result.
Automated integrations delete the data and move themselves to Completed; manual integrations wait for you to confirm. How each source is handled comes from the right's workflow — see Setting Up DSR Handling Type.
Close the request
When every task is complete, notify the data subject and close the request: click Reply to user (or Close request at the top) to send the completion email and close it. See Completing a Request for the closing flow, or Processing a Request with Autopilot to run the whole thing automatically.
