Microsoft OneDrive DSR integration
Automate privacy request handling by integrating MineOS with Microsoft OneDrive.

This integration automates get-a-copy requests for Microsoft OneDrive. MineOS searches the OneDrive accounts in your Microsoft 365 tenant for files that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview them and add them to the request.
To scan OneDrive for personal data, see Microsoft OneDrive data classification integration.
How It Works
- Preview: before MineOS copies anything, you can preview the files it found for the requester.
- Get a copy: MineOS collects the matching files from the OneDrive accounts in your tenant and adds them to the request, where you can review and redact them before they go into the copy report.
Deleted usersWhen a user is deleted in Microsoft 365, their OneDrive is kept for 30 days by default. You can extend this period in the SharePoint admin center. Set it long enough to cover access requests you may receive later.
Before You Start
- You need a Microsoft 365 account with administrator permissions.
- Have your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID ready.
- Each OneDrive is a private SharePoint site. To search both shared and personal sites, connect the SharePoint (Tenant) integration as well as OneDrive (Tenant).
Setting Up
- Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Add data source, search for OneDrive and add it.
- Open the system and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the system already has an instance, click Add instance.
- Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration. In the Integration Type dropdown, select Microsoft OneDrive (Tenant), then click Set up integration.
- In the setup wizard, enter your Microsoft 365 Tenant ID and click Connect.
- Sign in to Microsoft with an administrator account and click Accept to grant MineOS consent on behalf of your organization. You're then redirected back to MineOS.
Click Finish. You're done! MineOS has been connected to your OneDrive.
Admin consentOneDrive (Tenant) uses app-level access to your whole tenant, which only an administrator who can grant tenant-wide consent can approve. If you use the legacy Microsoft OneDrive type instead, select Consent on behalf of your organization when you authorize; without it, MineOS has limited permissions and won't be able to find all files.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the OneDrive integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as get a copy.
