California DROP Dashboard
Track DROP downloads, matching, open requests, and statuses reported back to CalPrivacy
The California DROP dashboard shows how MineOS is processing the deletion requests you receive through California's Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform (DROP). In one place you can see what was downloaded from DROP, where each consumer identifier stands, and what has been reported back to the California Privacy Protection Agency (CalPrivacy). For setup steps, see Setting Up MineOS for California DROP.
Key terms
- Batch: one retrieval of new and amended deletion requests from DROP. Each batch can contain several list files.
- CSV (list file): a file within a batch that holds hashed identifiers of one identifier type, such as email or phone.
- Hash: a single hashed consumer identifier from a DROP list. MineOS tracks every hash from download until its status is reported to DROP.
Opening the dashboard
Click Reporting in the left navigation, then select DSR California DROP. The dashboard is available to Owners, Admins, and DSR leads, and it shows data for all DROP integrations connected to your account. To get a copy of the data or have it sent to you on a schedule, see Reporting Dashboards: View, Export, and Schedule.
Headline numbers
The top row summarizes your DROP activity:
- Batches Downloaded: how many times MineOS retrieved requests from DROP.
- CSVs Downloaded: the total number of list files across those batches.
- Tickets Currently Open: hashes that matched a consumer in your systems and now have an open deletion request (DSR) in MineOS. These are still being handled and haven't been reported yet.
- Hashes Reported: hashes whose final status MineOS has reported to DROP and DROP has accepted.
Where each hash stands
The Drop Download pie chart breaks down every downloaded hash by its current processing stage:
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending match | Downloaded and waiting to be checked against your records. |
| Matching | Being checked against your records through your hash-to-identifier lookup endpoint. |
| Not found | No matching consumer was found. Ready to be reported as Not found. |
| Ticket open | A matching consumer was found and a deletion request is open in MineOS. |
| Outcome determined | The deletion request is closed and its final status (Deleted, Opted out, or Exempted) is known. Ready to be reported. |
| Reported | The status was reported to DROP and accepted. |
Use this chart to spot items that need attention. For example, a growing Ticket open slice means requests are waiting on your team or your workflows.
Downloads over time
The Drop Downloads chart shows how many hashes were downloaded each day. Use it to confirm that DROP retrievals are running as expected.
List file details
The CSVs Downloaded table lists every file downloaded from DROP, newest first, with:
- File name and Created date
- Data type: the identifier type in the file, such as email or phone
- Row count: how many hashes the file contained
- A count per processing stage, so you can see how far along each file is
Click a value to drill into the records behind it.
Meeting your DROP deadlines
Under the California Delete Act (SB 362), registered data brokers must process each deletion request they retrieve from DROP and report its status back to DROP. The reporting window is counted from the day you download the request: you have 30 days from download to report a status.
The reporting window was shortened from 45 days to 30 days.
MineOS retrieves new requests from DROP every day, so each request reaches you as early as possible and you get the full window to process it. Check this dashboard regularly, and schedule a weekly delivery, so open items are resolved and reported on time.
