Confirm the setup steps against the UI, confirm which Notion pages MineOS can reach (Notion normally only shares the pages the user selects during authorization), and add screenshots.

Automate data classification by integrating MineOS with Notion

How It Works

MineOS connects to your Notion workspace and scans the properties of your Notion pages to detect the personal data they contain. Text values are classified; properties that can't hold personal text, such as checkboxes, relations and timestamps, are skipped.

Note: This article covers data classification. Setting up Notion for privacy requests is covered in the Notion DSR integration article.

Before You Start

  • Make sure you have permission to connect integrations to your Notion workspace.
  • MineOS can only scan the pages it's given access to when you connect. Share all the pages and databases you want scanned.
  • [Optional] Enable Preview mode to view sample PII values alongside classification results. You must enable Preview mode before running the scan.

Setting Up

  1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Notion and click Add.
  2. Open the Notion data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
  3. Click Connect and follow the on-screen instructions to authorize MineOS in Notion. Select the pages you want MineOS to scan.
  4. Mark the Scan this source using Data Classifier checkbox and click Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Notion workspace.
