Ashby DSR integration

This integration automates privacy requests for Ashby. MineOS looks up the Ashby candidates that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview them, anonymizes them or sends the requester a copy of their data.

How It Works

• Preview: before MineOS anonymizes or copies anything, you can preview the candidates it found for the requester, including the candidate ID, name and primary email address.
• Anonymize: when a deletion request reaches Ashby, MineOS finds the candidates that match the requester's email address and anonymizes each one in Ashby. MineOS only does this when all of a candidate's applications are Archived or Hired. If no candidate matches, the task is reported as not found.
• Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of the candidate profiles found for their email address.

Before You Start

• Make sure you have permission to create an API key in your Ashby account.

Setting Up

1. In Ashby, go to Admin → Ashby API → API Keys and click New.
2. Enter a name for the key, such as MineOS, and click Create API Key. Copy the new key.
3. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Ashby and click Add.
4. Open the Ashby data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
5. Paste the key into the Api Key field.
6. Click Test your integration so MineOS can verify the key.
7. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Ashby account.

Troubleshooting

If a deletion task fails with a message that the candidate has an application in a status other than Archived or Hired, archive or close out the candidate's open applications in Ashby, then retry the task.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Ashby integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
