Box DSR integration

This integration connects Box to your privacy requests. MineOS searches the files and folders in your Box account for the requester's email address and lets you preview the matches.

How It Works

• Preview: MineOS searches your Box content for the requester's email address and shows each match with its file name, path and a link to open it in Box. If nothing matches, the task is reported as not found.

Before You Start

• Make sure you have enough permissions to allow app integrations in your Box account.

Search across your whole organization

To search content owned by all users in your organization, MineOS uses the enterprise_content scope. A Box admin must request this scope through Box support. Once it's enabled for the user who connects, that user can query content across the entire enterprise, not only the content they have access to. Without it, MineOS might not find every file that mentions the requester.

Setting Up

1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory, then click Add data source, search for Box and add it.

2. Open the Box data source and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the data source already has an integration, click Add instance.

3. Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration. In the Integration Type dropdown, choose Box, then click Set up integration.

4. Click Connect and sign in to Box. Grant MineOS the following permissions:

   • Read all files and folders stored in Box
   • Read and write all files and folders stored in Box (used for privacy requests)
   • Admin can make calls on behalf of users
   • Manage app users
   • Manage users

5. Click Finish.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Box account.

Using the Integration in Requests

To use Box in your requests, add the Box integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle.
