Intercom DSR integration

This integration automates privacy requests for Intercom. MineOS looks up the Intercom contacts that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview, delete or copy their data.

How It Works

• Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the contacts it found for the requester, including each contact's ID, email address and name, along with the conversations linked to them.
• Delete: MineOS finds the Intercom contacts that match the requester's email address and deletes them from your workspace.
• Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of the Intercom contact data found for their email address, together with their conversations.

Before You Start

• Make sure you have permission to install apps on your Intercom workspace.

Setting Up

1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory, then click Add data source. Search for Intercom and add it.
2. Open the Intercom data source and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the data source already has an integration, click Add instance.
3. Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration, then choose Intercom in the Integration Type dropdown.
4. Click Set up integration and follow the on-screen instructions to authorize MineOS to access your workspace, then click Authorize access. MineOS requests these permissions:
   • Read and manage users data
   • Read companies data
   • Read conversations data
   • Read tickets data
   • Read single admin, to get the workspace name
5. Click Finish.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Intercom workspace.

Note: To connect MineOS to more than one Intercom workspace, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Intercom integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
