Gmail DSR integration
Automate privacy request handling by integrating MineOS with Gmail.

This integration automates access requests for Gmail. MineOS searches the connected Gmail mailbox for messages that mention the requester's email address, then lets you preview them and send the requester a copy.
How It Works
- Preview: before MineOS prepares a copy, you can preview the messages it found for the requester, including each message's labels, subject and a short snippet.
- Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of the messages found for their email address. The search includes spam and trash.
Up to five messages per requestMineOS returns at most five matching messages for each request, for both preview and get a copy.
Before You Start
- Decide which Gmail account to connect. MineOS searches that account's mailbox.
- MineOS asks for read-only access to Gmail (the
gmail.readonlypermission) when you connect. - If your organization enforces a session timeout for Google Cloud scopes, mark the MineOS app as trusted and exempt trusted apps from session timeout. Otherwise the integration expires and has to be reconnected.
Setting Up
- Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Gmail and click Add.
- Open the Gmail data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
- Click Connect and follow the on-screen instructions to grant the required permissions.
- Click Save.
You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Gmail account.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the Gmail integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as get a copy.
