This integration automates privacy requests for Braze. MineOS looks up the Braze user profiles that match the requester's email address or phone number, then lets you preview, delete or copy them.

How It Works

  • Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the Braze profiles it found for the requester, including the Braze ID, the email address (or phone number) and the creation date.
  • Delete: MineOS finds every Braze profile that matches the requester and deletes it. If no profile matches, the task is reported as not found.
  • Get a copy: MineOS exports the matching Braze profiles and sends the requester a copy, including standard attributes, custom attributes, custom events, devices and purchases.

Choose the right integration type

Integration typeWhat it does
Braze (Automation, email)Looks the requester up by email address.
Braze (Automation, phone)Looks the requester up by phone number. Braze expects the number in international (E.164) format.

Before You Start

  • Prepare a Braze REST API key that has permission to delete users and to export users by identifier.
  • Know your Braze REST endpoint (the URL of your Braze instance). You can find it on Braze's API basics page.

Setting Up

  1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Braze and click Add.
  2. Open the Braze data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
  3. In the Integration type dropdown, choose Braze (Automation, email) or Braze (Automation, phone).
  4. Enter your Braze REST API key in the Braze API Key field.
  5. Enter your instance's URL in the Your Braze REST Endpoint field, for example https://rest.iad-01.braze.com for US-01 or https://rest.fra-01.braze.eu for EU-01.
  6. Click Test your integration to validate the connection.
  7. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Braze account.

Troubleshooting

If the connection test fails with Connection failed. Please check permissions for: followed by one or more endpoints, the API key is missing permission for those endpoints. Update the key in Braze to allow user deletion and user export, then test again.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Braze integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
