Customer.io DSR integration

This integration automates privacy requests for Customer.io. MineOS looks up the people in Customer.io that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview, delete or copy them.

How It Works

• Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the people it found for the requester, including the ID, email address and Customer.io ID.
• Delete: MineOS finds every person record that matches the requester's email address and deletes it using Customer.io's suppress function, which also stops the same person from being added back. If no person matches, the task is reported as not found.
• Get a copy: MineOS requests an export of the person's data from Customer.io and sends the requester a copy.

MineOS detects automatically whether your workspace is in the US or EU region.

Before You Start

• You need the Manager role or higher in the Customer.io workspace where you create the API keys.
• You'll create two keys: a Tracking API key (which gives you a Site ID and an API key) and an App API key.

Copy the App API key right away

Customer.io shows the App API key only once. If you lose it, create a new one.

Setting Up

Step 1: Create the API keys in Customer.io

1. Log in to Customer.io and click Your Settings (top right) → Account Settings → API Credentials.
2. Open the Tracking API Keys tab and click Create Tracking API Key.
3. Name the key, choose the workspace to delete and copy data from, and create it.
4. Copy the Site ID and the API Key.
5. Open the App API Keys tab and create a new App API key for the same workspace. Name it and copy the key.

Step 2: Connect in MineOS

1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Customer.io and click Add.
2. Open the Customer.io data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
3. Paste the App API key into the App API key field.
4. Paste the Tracking API Site ID into the Tracking API - Site ID field.
5. Paste the Tracking API key into the Tracking API - API key field.
6. Click Test your integration to validate the keys.
7. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Customer.io account.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Customer.io integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
