Amplitude DSR integration
Automate privacy request handling by integrating MineOS with Amplitude.

This integration automates privacy requests for Amplitude. MineOS uses the requester's Amplitude User ID to start a user deletion job or, for projects that use the Profile API, to preview and copy the user's data.
To scan Amplitude for personal data, see Amplitude data classification integration.
How It Works
- Preview: for the Amplitude US Server (Profile API) type, you can preview the user found for the requester, including the user ID and device ID.
- Delete: MineOS starts a user deletion job in Amplitude for the requester's User ID. Amplitude runs the job on its side and can take up to 30 days, so the task stays in progress until Amplitude finishes.
- Get a copy: for the Amplitude US Server (Profile API) type, MineOS sends the requester a copy of the user's profile data, including its properties and cohorts.
Choose the right integration type
Amplitude has three integration types, based on where your project's data lives. They don't share APIs, so pick the one that matches your project.
| Integration type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Amplitude US Server (Profile API) | Previews, deletes and copies user data. For US projects that use the Profile API. |
| Amplitude US Server | Deletes user data. For other US projects. |
| Amplitude EU Server | Deletes user data. For projects hosted in the EU. |
Before You Start
- Make sure you have permission to open your Amplitude Project Settings, so you can copy the API key and secret key.
Setting Up
-
Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory, then click Add data source, search for Amplitude and add it.
-
Open the Amplitude data source and go to the DSR & integrations tab. If the data source already has an integration, click Add instance.
-
Under Action for fulfilling requests, select Integration. In the Integration Type dropdown, choose the type that matches your project, then click Set up integration.
-
In a new tab, log in to Amplitude and go to Settings → Projects, then select your project.
-
Copy the API Key and Secret Key into the matching fields in the Set up integration wizard.
-
Click Finish.
You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Amplitude project.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the Amplitude integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
Amplitude can't look users up by email address, so the request needs the requester's Amplitude User ID. To find it, open the Users dashboard in Amplitude, use User Look-Up, enter email= followed by the requester's email address, and copy the User ID from the result.
