This integration automates privacy requests for Auth0. MineOS looks up the Auth0 users that match the requester's email address, then lets you preview, delete or copy them.
How It Works
- Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the users it found for the requester.
- Delete: MineOS finds every Auth0 user that matches the requester's email address and deletes each one. If no user matches, the task is reported as not found.
- Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of the Auth0 user records found for their email address.
Before You Start
- Make sure you have admin access to your Auth0 tenant, so you can create an application and authorize it for the Auth0 Management API.
- MineOS needs these Management API scopes:
read:users(to search for users) anddelete:users(to delete them).
Setting Up
- In your Auth0 dashboard, go to Applications and create a new application of type Machine to Machine. Authorize it for the default Auth0 Management API.
- In the application's APIs tab, open the Management API's scope list, select
read:usersanddelete:users, and click Update. - Copy the API Identifier (also called the audience). It looks like
https://your-domain.eu.auth0.com/api/v2/. - In the application's Settings tab, copy the Domain, Client ID and Client Secret.
- Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Auth0 and click Add.
- Open the Auth0 data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
- Enter the details you copied:
- Client Secret: the application's client secret.
- Client Id: the application's client ID.
- Your Auth0 domain: for example
your-domain.eu.auth0.com. - Audience (Your API Identifier): the identifier from step 3.
- Click Test your integration so MineOS can verify the details.
- Click Test & Save.
You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Auth0 tenant.
Using the Integration in Requests
To handle requests automatically, add the Auth0 integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
