Okta DSR integration

This integration automates privacy requests for Okta. MineOS looks up the Okta user that matches the requester's email address, then lets you preview, delete or copy it.

How It Works

• Preview: before MineOS deletes or copies anything, you can preview the Okta user it found for the requester, including their name, status and creation date.
• Delete: MineOS finds the Okta user that matches the requester's email address, including users that are already deactivated, and deletes it. An active user is deactivated first and then removed. If no user matches, the task is reported as not found.
• Get a copy: MineOS sends the requester a copy of their Okta user record, together with the application links assigned to them.

Before You Start

• You need an Okta account with super administrator permissions.
• Know your Okta subdomain: the part of your Okta URL before .okta.com. For example, if your Okta URL is yourcompany.okta.com, your subdomain is yourcompany.

Setting Up

Step 1: Create an API token in Okta

1. Log in to your Okta account.
2. In the left sidebar, go to Security → API.
3. Open the Tokens tab and click Create token.
4. Give the token a recognizable name, such as MineOS, and click Create token.
5. Copy the token right away. Okta shows it only once.

Step 2: Connect in MineOS

1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for Okta and click Add.
2. Open the Okta data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration.
3. Paste the token into the Api Key field.
4. In the Workspace field, enter only your Okta subdomain, for example yourcompany. Don't include -admin or .okta.com.
5. Click Test your integration to validate the token.
6. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your Okta account.

Using the Integration in Requests

To handle requests automatically, add the Okta integration to the workflows of the privacy rights it should handle, such as deletion or get a copy.
