This integration automates privacy requests for AppsFlyer through its OpenDSR (GDPR requests) API. MineOS opens an erasure or access request for the requester and tracks it until AppsFlyer reports it as complete.

How It Works

  • Delete: MineOS opens an erasure request in AppsFlyer for your app. The task stays in progress until AppsFlyer reports that the request is completed.
  • Get a copy: MineOS opens an access request in AppsFlyer, collects the report once AppsFlyer has generated it, and includes it in the copy sent to the requester.

AppsFlyer processes these requests on its own schedule, typically within about 10 days. MineOS checks the status once a day, so an AppsFlyer task is usually the last one to close in a privacy request.

Choose the right integration type

AppsFlyer has no email or phone lookup. MineOS sends the requester's identifier to AppsFlyer under the identifier field you configure, which defaults to Customer User ID, so your app must populate that field with the same value. The three types differ only in which identifier MineOS takes from the request.

Before You Start

  • Make sure your AppsFlyer account has access to the OpenDSR (GDPR requests) API.
  • Have an AppsFlyer admin create an API V2 token: open the account menu → Security center → AppsFlyer API tokens → Manage your AppsFlyer API tokens. AppsFlyer shows the token only once, so copy it right away.
  • Have the App ID (for example com.example.app or id123456789) and the platform (ios or android) of the app the requests cover.

Setting Up

  1. Log in to MineOS. On the left sidebar, click Inventory → Data Sources. Click Add Data Source, search for AppsFlyer and click Add.
  2. Open the AppsFlyer data source → Integrations tab → Request Handling section → select Integration, and choose the integration type that matches the identifier your app reports.
  3. Enter the connection details:
    • V2 API Token: the token you created in AppsFlyer.
    • App ID: the ID of the app the requests cover.
    • Platform (ios / android): the platform of that app.
    • AppsFlyer identifier field (optional): the AppsFlyer field that holds the identifier. Leave it empty to use customer_user_id. Other accepted values are appsflyer_id, idfv, ios_advertising_id, android_advertising_id, fire_advertising_id and microsoft_advertising_id.
  4. Click Test your integration so MineOS can verify the details.
  5. Click Test & Save.

You're done! MineOS has been connected to your AppsFlyer account.

Using the Integration in Requests
